The Lake Mead RV Village is a private RV park just off Lakeshore Drive in Lake Mead Recreation Area. Only minutes from the water activities at Lake Mead and a short drive from the Strip in Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and historic Boulder City, Lake Mead RV Village is an excellent base camp for area exploration.

A National Park Service fee or pass is required for entry into Lake Mead Recreation Area. As of January now, the fee for a seven-day pass is $10 per vehicle, payable at any of the entrance stations. This is over and above any fees for the Lake Mead Village, which is an authorized concession of the National Park Service.

Lake Mead RV Village Facilities

The main feature of this RV campground is that its terraced streets offer lake views from every level. Only those at the lowest level, of course, exclude views of other motorhomes and park models. These “lakeside lots” were once just that, but the drought-induced drop in the level of Lake Mead means that these sites are now a half-mile from the shore. Still, they do offer the best views of the lake.

Much of the village is devoted to private long-term residences, but the campground offers a number of rental sites.

  • 115 full-service sites including 30 Lakeview sites and 42 Pull-thru sites
  • All sites have water, sewer, electricity (30/50A).
  • Most sites have picnic table, free WiFi, concrete pad, and fire rings.

Additional facilities include:

  • Recreation area with bocce court and horseshoe pits
  • 24-hour laundry
  • Village Hall meeting room for group functions (this is a single-wide mobile home with a deck)
  • Convenience store and gift shop at office, with some basic RV and camping accessories.
